Our Child Development Department was envisioned as a response to the needs of the community to deal with developmental concerns raised about children in the community.

Our Child Development department is the first out-patient clinic based on international guidlines in Kenya consisting of a multi-disciplinary team providing comprehensive assessment and management of the following:

• Developmental Disabilities, such as Autistic Spectrum Disorders.
• Attention and Behavioral Disorders.
• Delayed Development in Speech, Language, and other skills.
• Behavioral, and Developmental problems.
• Learning Issues.

Our multidisciplinary team of expert health care professionals includes:

• Developmental Paediatricians
• Speech Therapists
• Occupational Therapists
• Physiotherapists
• Psychologists
• Trained Nurses

Our Developmental Paediatric Consultant and Psychology team will evaluate, counsel, and provide treatment for children with a wide range of developmental and behavioral conditions. An initial consultation with a developmental paediatrician can take about an hour and usually requires scheduling an appointment ahead of time. Our Child Development department is supported by comprehensive paediatric sub-specialty services.
